What it is
Part of the COSRX AC Collection, the brand’s line for acne-prone skin. This is a leave-on spot
treatment rather than a moisturiser, even though it is called a cream. It is thick, slightly
tinted by the calamine, and meant for the few places that need it on a given day.
What it is formulated to do
- Calm the redness and swelling of an active spot
- Absorb oil on the affected area
- Put a thin protective layer over the blemish
- Do all of this without drying out the surrounding skin
Key ingredients
- Zinc oxide — absorbs oil and protects the surface
- Calamine — soothing, and the reason for the pale tint
- Centella asiatica compounds (asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid) — calming
- Aloe leaf water and tea tree leaf oil
Who it suits
Acne-prone skin of any type, used on individual spots. It is not a whole-face product.
How to use
- After your serum and before moisturiser, dab a small amount directly onto the blemish.
- A thin layer in the morning if you need it to be unnoticeable.
- A thicker layer at night for more intensive care.
- Let it absorb before anything goes on top.
Good to know
If the area becomes dry or flaky, use it less often or pause for a few days. Do not layer it on
the same spot as a retinol product. If your breakouts are widespread, painful or cystic, a doctor
can help more than a spot cream can.
