What it is
Probably the most recommended moisturiser in the world, and it earns that by being unexciting. Rich, fragrance-free, with no actives to react to. It works on the face and the body, and it suits skin that has run out of patience with everything else.

About the ceramides
Every CeraVe formula is built on the same idea: three ceramides (NP, AP and EOP) in the same
ratio skin makes them, with cholesterol and fatty acids. Ceramides are what hold the skin barrier
together, and skin that is dry, stripped or reactive is usually short of them. The brand’s MVE
delivery system holds those ingredients in layered spheres so they release slowly rather than all
at once.

Who it suits
Dry to very dry skin, on the face or body. Safe for adults and children. Oily skin may find it too rich for daytime but useful at night or on dry patches.
How to use
- Apply to face and body as often as needed, morning and night.
- It absorbs best on skin that is still slightly damp after cleansing or showering.
- Avoid the eyes.
It contains no SPF, so use sunscreen over it in the morning.
