What it is
Azelaic acid is unusual among actives: it works on redness and on blemishes at once, and it is generally better tolerated than acids of similar strength. Anua pairs it at 10% with sodium hyaluronate and a soothing set of centella, aloe and green tea, so the formula does not leave skin parched the way bare azelaic preparations can.
What it is formulated to do

Who it suits
Redness-prone and blemish-prone skin, including skin that reacts badly to stronger acids. It is described as non-comedogenic.
This product addresses the look of redness from dryness and irritation. It is a cosmetic, not a treatment for rosacea or any diagnosed condition, and anything persistent belongs with a dermatologist.
How to use
- Start low: one or two drops, once or twice a week.
- Apply between toner and moisturiser, patting it in.
- Build up gradually, to as much as twice daily if your skin stays comfortable.
- Follow with moisturiser, and SPF30 or higher in the morning.
External use only. Avoid the eyes, do not use on broken skin, and stop if irritation develops.
