What it is
A first-step oil cleanser for the evening. Heartleaf extract carries the brand’s soothing angle, and the lifting is done by a blend of sunflower, macadamia, olive, jojoba, grape seed and moringa seed oils. What sets it apart in practice is how completely it emulsifies: add water and it turns milky, then rinses away without the slick residue many oil cleansers leave.
What it is formulated to do
- Dissolve sunscreen, makeup and the sebum that builds up through the day
- Loosen what settles in pores, so the second cleanse has less to do
- Calm the look of congested, irritated skin with heartleaf
- Rinse clean, leaving no film
Key ingredients
- Houttuynia cordata (heartleaf) extract
- Plant oils: sunflower, macadamia, olive, jojoba, grape seed, moringa seed
- Turmeric root, neem and holy basil extracts
- Tocopherol (vitamin E)
Who it suits
All skin types, and particularly congestion-prone skin. One thing worth knowing: the standard version contains fragrance. If your skin reacts to fragrance, Anua makes a Mild version without it.
How to use
- Start with dry hands and a dry face. Water first stops the oil working.
- Pump into your palms and massage over the face in slow circles for about a minute.
- Add a little water and keep massaging. The oil turns milky.
- Rinse with lukewarm water, then follow with a foaming cleanser.
Evening use. Avoid the eyes if you are wearing contact lenses.
